Ingredients

 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons margarine
 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons flour
 Tomato puree1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Water2 Cup (16 tbs)
 2 packets instant beef broth and seasoning mix
 2 teaspoons dehydrated onion flakes, reconstituted in 2 teaspoons water
 Sauce1 1/2 Teaspoon
 Peppercorns4
 Cloves2
 Bay leaf1 Small
 Dash thyme
 Dash garlic powder

Directions

Melt margarine in top of double boiler, over boiling water; using a wooden spoon or wire whisk, add flour, and cook 7 minutes, stirring frequently.
Stir in tomato puree.
Slowly add water, stirring constantly.
Add remaining ingredients; cover and cook 30 minutes or until thickened, stirring often.
Divide evenly.
