Barszcz Beet Soup Recipe
Over the years I have mastered the art of making Barszcz Beet Soup which I was taught by my family elders. The main ingredient in this recipe is Vegetable. Ingredients
2 beets
1 pork hock, spare ribs or ham
Dried prunes (optional)
1/2 cup sour cream
Raw whole eggs
Vinegar to taste
Sugar as desired
Directions
Boil the beets, cool and slice.
Boil with pork hock.
If desired, add 6 prunes.
When meat is cooked, add sour cream thickened with flour.
Add vinegar to taste.
Just before serving, drop eggs into soup (one per person) and boil gently.
