Barszcz Beet Soup Recipe
Ingredients
| Beets | 2 | |
| 1 pork hock, spare ribs or ham | ||
| Sour cream | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Raw whole eggs | ||
| Vinegar to taste | ||
| Sugar as desired | ||
Directions
Boil the beets, cool and slice.
Boil with pork hock.
If desired, add 6 prunes.
When meat is cooked, add sour cream thickened with flour.
Add vinegar to taste.
Just before serving, drop eggs into soup (one per person) and boil gently.
