Barrett Klesko's Marinated Flank Steak of Destruction-submitted by Barrett Klesko of All Else Fails Recipe
Ingredients
| Flank steak | 1 1/2 Pound | |
| Soy sauce | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1/4 | |
| Sesame oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Lime juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Garlic | 4 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Minced ginger | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1 tbsp. Asian chili sauce | ||
| 1 tbsp. fine ground black pepper | ||
Directions
This recipe calls for an overnight marinade before cooking.
Serves 6
1.Rinse and pat dry the flank steak then score the meat lightly in a diamond pattern (to allow for maximum flavor penetration).
2. Mix the remaining ingredients in a flat glass dish. Place the meta in the marinated and refrigerate covered for 24 hours. Turn the meat 2-3 times.
3. Preheat the BBQ on high, and brush the grids with olive oil to prevent sticking. Place the flank steak on the hot grids and reduce to medium heat.
4. Grill 5 min per side for medium, and allow steak to rest 3-5 min before carving.
Meanwhile, place the remaining marinade in a small saucepan and bring to boil on the side burner for 2-3 minutes.
4. Carve the steak into thin slices diagonally, against the grain. Drizzle the cooked marinade over the meat and serve.
