Baroque Angel Delight Recipe
Ingredients
| Unflavoured gelatin - 1 envelope | ||
| Cold water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Boiling water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Orange juice | 1 Cup (16 tbs), squeezed | |
| Lemon juice | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), squeezed | |
| Granulated Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Angel food cake - 1 | ||
| Whipping cream | 1 Pint | |
| Lemon | 1 | |
Directions
MAKING
1. In a bowl, dissolve gelatin in cold water; pour in boiling water, stir well asn set aside till gelatin dissolves completely
2. In a mixing bowl, combine orange juice, lemon juice and sugarand sugar; blend the gelatin solution into it and refrigerate till partially set, for say three quarters of an hour
3. Break two thirds of the angel food cake into an inch pieces and place them in 9"X13" glass baking dish
4. Whip cream till stiff and it begins to form peaks; add partially set juice mixture into whipped cream
5. Pour the filling over the angel food cake chunks and make sure all the chunks are well coated; refrigerate overnight
SERVING
6. Garnish with lemon slices and serve
