Ingredients

 60 ml flour, all purpose
 Dry mustard30 Milliliter
 Basil5 Milliliter
 3 ml each of thyme leaves, chervil, salt
 2.2 kg baron of beef
 Worcestershire sauce30 Milliliter
 Onion1 , chopped
 Carrots2 , chopped
 2 chopped celery stalks
 Bay Leaf1
 Red wine250 Milliliter
 250 ml Beef Broth or water

Directions

Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
Mix the flour, mustard and seasonings together.
Rub into the roast.
Place roast into a roasting pan.
Pour Worcestershire over roast.
Surround roast with the vegetables and bay leaf.
Pour in the red wine and water.
Bake to desired doneness, basting often.
Use the pan juices to make gravy.
