Barley Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
3 cups barley flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
4 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
1 cup buttermilk
Barley flour
Directions
Combine the dry ingredients in Bosch bowl.
Add butter or margarine, and mix until mixture resembles cornmeal.
Stir in buttermilk to form a soft dough, and pour out onto a lightly floured surface.
Sprinkle additional barley flour on top of dough, and press down with floured fingers to 1/2inch thickness.
Cut with a floured biscuit cutter.
Bake on a 375° F.greased griddle for 5 minutes or until lightly browned.
