Barley Skillet Dinner Recipe
Ingredients
| Canola oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Onion | 1 , chopped | |
| Celery stalks | 2 , sliced | |
| Carrots | 2 , sliced | |
| Chicken broth | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemon juice | 3 Tablespoon | |
| 3/4 cup quick-cooking barley | ||
| Brussels sprouts package | 1 , frozen | |
| Cooked chicken | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Romano cheese | 2 Tablespoon, grated | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
MAKING
1.Take a large skillet or Dutch oven.
2.Put oil in it and heat.
3.Put onions, celery and carrots in it and saute well.
4.Stir in broth, lemon juice and barley.
5.Lower the flame and cook for 25 minutes after covering.
6.Put Brussels sprout and chicken in it and cook for 10 more minutes until the sprouts are soft and the liquid evaporates.
7.Add salt and pepper as per taste.
8.Add cheese.
SERVING
9.Serve immediately after preparation.
