Barfka Peach Dahiwala Recipe
Ingredients
| 8 peaches, peeled and seeded | ||
| Gelatine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Vanilla essence | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 6 cups fresh, sweet yoghurt | ||
Directions
Stew peach halves in a syrup of sugar and 1/2 cup water till soft.
Reserve 6 slices and puree the rest, adding vanilla essence.
Melt the gelatine in 4 tbsp of warm water and mix with the remaining sugar syrup from the peaches.
Beat the yoghurt and add to the peach puree.
Add lemon juice and the gelatine syrup.
Add reserved peach pieces, chopped finely.
Put in a suitable tray and freeze till set.
Serve with melted peach jam, if desired.
