Barbeque Dry Rub Recipe

I like using this barbeque dry rub recipe for my chicken every time I decide to have friends and family over for a cooking session outdoors. You could use it for other types of meat too.

Ingredients

1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper

½ tsp cayenne pepper

1 tbsp garlic powder

1 tbsp onion powder

1 tbsp dry herbs mixture (you could either use a combination of dry herbs or use the one of your choice)

½ tsp paprika

Salt to taste

Directions

Dry rub plays a very important role in the flavor and taste of your meat. Rub the meat with approximately 2 tbsp of this mixture. Cover and refrigerate for atleast 6-8 hours. Let it soak in the flavors. Take out and you can grill the meat, basting regularly with your barbeque sauce. A great treat for your cooking outdoors.
