Ingredients

 
41/2 pounds pork back ribs, cut into pieces
 
1/4 cup soy sauce
 
1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons cornstarch
 
1 bottle (18 ounces) barbecue sauce

Directions

Arrange ribs meaty side up in open shallow roasting pan.
Do not add water.
Do not cover.
Roast in 325° oven 13/4 hours.
Mix remaining ingredients; pour on meat.
Bake uncovered about 45 minutes longer or until meat is done.
Team up with Best Tossed Salad (page 53) and Hopping John (page 74), a zesty combo of black-eye peas and rice.
