Barbecued Pheasant Recipe
Barbecued Pheasant is a delicious and mouth watering treat. The very smell of these this dish draws my family into the kitchen! You just have to prepare the Barbecued Pheasant for yourself to understand what I am talking about.
Ingredients
| Shortening | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1/4 lb. oleo or butter | ||
| 1 pheasant, cut in pieces | ||
| Flour | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 lemon, sliced (opt.) | ||
| 1 Ige. onion, sliced | ||
| Catsup | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Worcestershire sauce | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Chili powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 2 dashes of Tabasco sauce | ||
| Water | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Melt shortening and oleo together in frying pan.
Dip pheasant in flour; brown evenly on all sides.
Remove and place in roaster.
Place slices of lemon and onion over pheasant.
Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan; bring to boil.
Pour over pheasant.
Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 2 hours.
