Ingredients
| Lima beans | 1 pound, dried | |
| Water | 4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Firmly packed brown sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Catsup | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Dark corn syrup | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Liquid smoke | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Hot Sauce | 5 Drop | |
| Bacon Slices | 6 |
Directions
Soak washed beans in water in large saucepan or dutch oven overnight.
Do not drain.
Add onion; bring to a boil and simmer until beans are almost tender, about 30 minutes.
Combine all other ingredients except bacon; stir into beans and mix well.
Spoon mixture into a 2-quart greased casserole.
Put bacon on top, cover, and bake at 350° about 1 hour or until beans are completely soft.
