Barbecued Hamburger Stacks Recipe
Ingredients
1 172 lb. ground beef
Salt
Pepper
3 c. soft bread cubes
1/4 c. hot milk
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. melted shortening
1/8 tsp. marjoram
2 tbsp. chopped onion
Directions
Combine ground beef, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 tea- spoon pepper; mix lightly.
Shape into 10 patties.
Blend bread cubes with milk, egg, shortening, 1/4 teaspoon salt, marjoram and onion; shape mixture into 5 patties.
Place 5 beef patties in greased shallow baking dish; top each with bread patty.
Cover with remaining beef patties.
Shape into 10 patties.
