Barbecued Brisket Recipe
Ingredients
| Beef brisket | 1 | |
| Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 tablespoon Monterey Style Spice Blend | ||
| 1 cup apple cider or cherry apple cider | ||
| Hickory Smoke barbecue sauce | ||
Directions
Rub both sides of the brisket with a mixture of the sugar, salt and spice blend.
Place in a glass dish.
Drizzle with the cider.
Chill, covered, for 8 to 10 hours.
Place the brisket fat side up with the marinade in a baking pan; cover loosely with foil.
Bake at 250 degrees for 7 hours, or 1 hour per pound.
Pull or shred the brisket and mix with desired amount of barbecue sauce.
