Barbecued Beef Roast Recipe
The barbecued beef roast is a beef preparation made with pot roastbeef. Browned and cooked with worcestershire sauce, chili powder, paprika, catsup and lemon juice, the barbecued beef roast is spicy and hot.
Ingredients
| 1 4 to 5 lb. beef arm or blade pot roast | ||
| Butter | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Black pepper | 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| 2 med lge. onions, chopped fine | ||
| Vinegar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Worcestershire sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Paprika | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Chili powder | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1 14 oz. bottle catsup | ||
| Brown sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Lemon juice | 3 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Brown roast in butter in an electric skillet or Dutch oven; cook at 325 degrees about 5 hours or until it falls apart.
Add salt and black pepper.
Shred meat when done; pour off broth, reserving 1 cup.
Brown onions; add remaining ingredients.
Heat in electric skillet at 220 degrees 30 minutes or in oven 1 hour
