 4 beef minute steaks (1 pound)
 Onion1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Cooking oil1 Tablespoon
 1 16-ounce can home-style pork and beans
 Bottled barbecue sauce1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Garlic salt1/2 Teaspoon
 Oregano leaves1/2 Teaspoon, crushed
 American Cheese1/4 Cup (16 tbs), shredded

Directions

In 10-inch skillet brown the steaks with onion in oil 1 minute per side. (Electric skillet 350°.)
Add beans, barbecue sauce, garlic salt, and oregano.
Reduce heat (220°).
Cover; simmer 10 minutes.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Cover; heat just till cheese melts.
