Barbecued Pork Sandwich Recipe
Ingredients
| Onion | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Celery | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Chili Sauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vinegar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Brown sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Worcestershire sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Chili powder | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 12 thin slices cooked roast pork or beef | ||
| 6 hamburger buns, split and toasted | ||
Directions
In skillet cook onion, celery, and garlic in butter till tender but not brown. (Electric skillet 350°.)
Stir in chili sauce, 1/2 cup water, the vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire, chili powder, salt, and dash pepper.
Simmer, covered, 10 to 15 minutes (220°).
Add pork; heat through.
Serve on buns with sauce.
