Barbecued Pork Backs Recipe
Ingredients
| 3 pounds meaty pork backbones, or spareribs, cut in serving pieces | ||
| Chili Sauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Preserves | 1 12 Ounce | |
| Vinegar | 1/8 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Sprinkle meat with salt and broil bone side down on grill over slow coals about 20 minutes.
Now turn and let brown (about 8 minutes).
Turn ribs meaty side up again and broil about 20 minutes longer.
Combine remaining ingredients; brush on meat and continue broiling without turning 20 to 30 minutes or till done (no pink), basting occasionally with sauce.
To glaze, baste both sides of pork and broil 3 or 4 minutes per side.
