Barbecued Musk Ox Steaks With Garlic Cilantro Butter Recipe
Ingredients
| 6-225 g musk ox tenderloin steaks | ||
| Chili powder | 15 Milliliter | |
| 3 ml each of oregano leaves, thyme leaves, basil leaves, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, white pepper, black pepper | ||
| Cayenne pepper | 1 Milliliter | |
| Butter | 125 Milliliter | |
| Garlic | 4 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Cilantro | 125 Milliliter, chopped | |
| Dijon Mustard | 5 Milliliter | |
| Lemon zest | 5 Milliliter | |
| Olive oil | 30 Milliliter | |
Directions
Trim the steaks and place in a shallow pan.
Combine the seasonings and sprinkle over the steaks, cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Combine the butter with the garlic, cilantro, mustard and lemon.
Spread on a sheet of wax paper and roll in cigar shape.
Freeze for 1 hour.
Brush the steaks with the oil.
Grill over medium coals until desired doneness (medium is best for ox).
Slice the butter in thick rounds.
Place one round on each steak serving.
Serve at once.
