Ingredients

 1 medium-size onion, chopped
 Butter/Margarine2 Tablespoon
 Tomato sauce2 Can (10oz)
 Molasses1 Tablespoon
 Cider vinegar1 Tablespoon
 Prepared mustard1 Tablespoon
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 Basil leaf1/2 Teaspoon, crumbled
 Frankfurters1 1/2 Pound
 12 split frankfurter buns, toasted and buttered

Directions

1. Saute onion in butter or margarine just until soft in large skillet. Stir in tomato sauce, molasses, vinegar, mustard, salt and basil; simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes.
2. Arrange frankfurters in sauce; cover, simmer 10 minutes, or until puffed and bubbly-hot.
3. Place frankfurters in the buns; spoon sauce over them.
