Barbecue Beef Sandwiches Recipe
Ingredients
1 pound ground chuck
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
3/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup reduced-calorie catsup
2 tablespoons tomato juice
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
11/2 teaspoons firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 hamburger buns, split and toasted
Fresh parsley sprigs
Directions
Cook ground chuck in a large skillet over medium heat until meat is browned, stirring to crumble meat.
Drain meat well in a colander, and pat dry with a paper towel; wipe pan drippings from skillet with a paper towel.
Return meat to skillet, and stir in next 8 ingredients.
Cover and cook over medium heat 10 minutes.
Uncover and simmer 5 minutes or until thickened, stirring frequently.
To serve, spoon 1/3 cup meat mixture over each bun half.
Garnish with parsley, and serve.
