Mushroom Barbecue Sauce Recipe
Barbecue Sauce sounded really good to me when I first heard it and it tasted even better. This Barbecue Sauce is a long established family favorite. Make sure you don't miss the taste of this delicious sauce!

| 1/4 cup shiitake or porcini mushrooms or other dried mushrooms | ||
| Onions | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), minced | |
| Safflower oil | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Tomato sauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Worcestershire sauce | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Cider vinegar | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Apple juice concentrate | 1 Tablespoon, frozen | |
| Dry mustard | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Soak the mushrooms in warm water for 20 minutes.
Saute the onions in the oil for about 5 minutes in a large saucepan.
Add the tomato sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, apple juice, mustard, and water.
Strain the mushrooms and mash them to a paste.
Add to the pan and simmer gently for 1 hour.
