Barbecue Salad Recipe
Barbecue salad is a gelatin salad prepared with tomato sauce for flavor. Seasoned with an added dash of vinegar, the barbecue salad is chilled to set and served with mayonnaise in the center.
Ingredients
2 packages lemon flavored gelatin
2 1/2 cups hot water
2 8 ounce cans seasoned tomato sauce
3 tablespoons vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
Directions
Dissolve gelatin in hot water.
Blend in remaining ingredients.
Chill until partially set.
Pour into 5 cup ring mold.
Chill until firm.
Unmold; line center with lettuce and add bowl of mayonnaise.
