Ingredients
3 Ibs beef, cut into 1 inch cubes
1 cup commercial barbecue sauce, regular or garlic flavor
1 1/2 cups water
1 tsp salt
8 small potatoes
8 carrots, cut into 1 1/2 inch chunks
1 head of celery, cut into 1 1/2 inch chunks
1 onion, cut into 8 wedges
3 tbsp flour
1/3 cup cold water
Directions
In a dish, place beef cubes.
Pour in barbecue sauce, mixing well.
Marinate in refrigerator 3 hours.
In a casserole dish, place beef and marinade.
Add water and salt.
Bring to a boil.
Cover.
Simmer 45 minutes.
Add vegetables.
Cover.
Continue cooking 30 minutes or until beef and vegetables are tender.
Meanwhile, dilute flour in cold water.
Pour over beef mixture, stirring well.
Bring to a boil.
Stir until sauce thickens.
Over low heat, simmer 15 minutes.
Pour in barbecue sauce, mixing well.
