Recipe Story
In New Orleans I had the Bananas Foster at Brennan/s which was great !! I incorporated it with using wraps !!! Wrap on........
Ingredients
1/4 cup butter
3 firm bananas. sliced
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 t cinnamon
2 T white rum
1 T Banana Liquor
4 (8 inch) Tumaro's Apple 'N Cinnamon Soy Flatbreads
1 cup vegetable oil for frying
Directions
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter . Stir in sugar & Cinnamon, and stir until sugar is dissolved, add bananas cut in half lengthwise and than halved. Pour in rum, banana liquor and cook 1 to 2 minutes more. Spoon quarter of the banana mixture onto each tortilla, and roll up, tucking in the ends, like a burrito.
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry chimichangas until golden. Drain on paper towels. Serve warm along with vanilla ice cream
