Bananas And Pears With Mocha Cream Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
2 large bananas
2 ripe pears
Lemon juice
SAUCE:
175 g/6 oz plain chocolate
5 ml/1 tsp instant coffee powder
25 g/1 oz/2 tbsp butter
15 ml/1 tbsp golden syrup
5 ml/1 tsp vanilla essence
60 ml/4 tbsp single cream
Directions
Peel and cut the bananas and pears into chunky pieces and toss in a little lemon juice to prevent browning.
Divide between four serving dishes.
Break up the chocolate and place in a saucepan with the remaining ingredients except the cream.
Heat gently, stirring until melted, but do not allow to boil.
Remove from the heat and beat in the cream.
Use hot or cold, spooned over the fruit.
