 8 medium, very ripe bananas, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch rounds
 Powdered ginger1 Tablespoon
 Sugar1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Water1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Lemon juice1/4 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

Arrange half the banana slices decoratively on serving platter.
Sprinkle 1/2 tablespoon ginger over bananas.
Arrange remaining slices on top and sprinkle with remaining ginger.
In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water and bring to a boil, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.
Cook 8 to 10 minutes.
Pour syrup over bananas and chill before serving.
