Banana Walnut Loaf Recipe

Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour 500 mL
3/4 cup sugar 175 mL
1 tbs baking powder 15 mL
1/2 tsp baking soda 2 mL
1/2 tsp salt 2 mL
1 cup chopped walnuts 250 mL
2 eggs, well beaten
1/4 cup sour milk 50 mL
1 tsp vanilla 5 mL
1/4 cup shortening, melted 50 mL
1 1/2 cup sieved banana 375 mL
Directions
Stir together dry ingredients.
Stir in walnuts.
In another bowl combine beaten eggs, sour milk and vanilla.
Mix well, then blend in shortening and sieved banana.
Make a well in the centre of flour mixture and stir in banana mixture, all at one time.
Stir only enough to moisten dry ingredients.
Spoon into greased loaf pan and spread into corners.
Bake at 350F (180C) for about 1 hour, or until done.
