Banana Walnut Cake Recipe
This banana walnut cake is a delicious cake prepared with ripe bananas and chopped walnuts. Easily prepared in a microwave, the banana walnut cake is made with a batter of flour, eggs, bananas, walnuts and castor sugar. The banana walnut cake can be stored for a few days in an airtight container.
Ingredients
200 gms plain flour
200 gms castor sugar
200 gms white butter
1/2 tsp baking powder
4 eggs
50 gms walnuts (finely chopped)
3 ripe bananas
1/2 tsp banana essence
Few drops yellow colour (optional)
Directions
Sieve together the flour and baking powder.
Churn the bananas in a blender to make a pulp.
Cream well the butter and sugar.
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Gently fold in the flour and baking powder mixture, banana pulp, walnuts, banana essence and yellow colour(optional)
Pourthe baiter into a deep 2 litre oven-proof dish, lined with butter paper and microwave at 100% power for 10 minutes, till the top feels just firm.
Allow to stand in the oven for 8:00 minutes, before turning onto a wire rack to cool.
Cool the cake completely before cutting into slices.
Store in an airtight container.
