Sifted cake flour - 2 1/2 cup
Baking powder - 2 1/2 tsp
Soda - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 3/4 tsp
Cloves - 1/8 tsp
Cinnamon - 1 1/4 tsp
Nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
Shortening - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1 1/4 cup
Eggs - 2
Vanilla - 1 tsp
Ripe bananas - 1 1/2 cup, mashed
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
MAKING
2. In a large bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg together.
3. Add sugar to the bowl and beat well. then while beating add the eggs one at a time and beat well. Stir in the vanilla.
4. Add the flour mixture to the pan and. alternately with bananas; beat well after each addition.
Turn into 2 well- greased 9-inch cake pans.
Bake at for 25 minutes or until cake tests done.
