Banana Spice Cake Recipe

Ingredients
2 1/2 cups sifted cake flour
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
2/3 cup vegetable shortening
2/3 cup mashed banana
1/3 cup molasses
3 eggs
1/2 cup milk
Directions
In mixer bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, salt, spices, vegetable shortening, banana, and molasses.
Mix vigorously 2 minutes by hand or at medium speed of electric mixer.
Add eggs and milk; beat 2 minutes more.
Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 9x1 1/2 inch round layer pans.
Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
Cool.
Frost with Fluffy Frosting.
