GETTING READY
1) Preheat the oven to 400F

2) In a saucepan, mix together the raisins, water, butter or margarine, salt, lemon juice, sugar and cornstarch
3) Cook everything over a low fire, stirring constantly till the mixture bubbles and thickens
4) Take off from the heat
5) Peel the bananas and using a knife, cut them into half across
6) Place the halved bananas in a shallow baking pan and pour the thickened sauce over
7) Bake for 10 minutes, basting with the sauce frequently
