Add butter or margarine, vanilla, eggs, and half of the bananas.
Add the remaining bananas and nuts, and mix for 1 minute.
Pour into two greased and lightly floured 8-inch round cake pans.
Bake in a 350Â° F. oven for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool for 10 minutes; remove from pans.
When completely cool, frost between layers, on the sides, and on top.
