Ingredients

 75 mL 1/3 cup vegetable oil
 50 mL 1/4 cup corn syrup
 375 mL 1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas

 250 mL 1 cup whole wheat flour
 All purpose flour125 Milliliter
 125 mL 1/2 cup sugar
 10 mL 2 tsp baking powder
 5 mL 1 tsp salt
 2 mL 1/2 tsp baking soda
 Glaze
 25 mL 2 tbsp milk
 25 mL 2 tbsp lemon juice
 375 mL 1 1/2 cups Icing sugar

Directions

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Mix the oil; corn syrup, banana puree and the eggs in a food processor; set aside.
In a large bowl, mix both types of flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
Gradually add the pureed ingredients to the dry mixture and mix well with a wooden spoon.
Grease the bread pan and pour in the mixture.
Bake for 50 minutes.
Glaze Heat the milk and lemon juice in a saucepan.
Place the icing sugar into a medium-size mixing bowl and gradually add enough milk to obtain the desired consistency (to glaze the cake).
Remove the bread from the mold and then glaze.
