Banana Oatmeal Drops Recipe
Ingredients
| Shortening | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| 1 medium-size banana, mashed | ||
| Lemon juice | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Flour | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
| Soda | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cinnamon | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Nutmeg | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1-1/2 cups quick-cooking oats | ||
| Walnuts | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
Directions
Cream together shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg.
Stir in banana and lemon juice.
Sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Stir into creamed mixture.
Mix in oats and walnuts.
Drop from a teaspoon onto greased baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
Bake in a moderate oven of 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes, or until edges turn golden.
