 Shortening2/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Sugar1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Egg yolks2
 Ripe banana3/4 Cup (16 tbs), mashed
 Flour1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Baking soda1 Teaspoon
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon
 Sour cream4 Tablespoon
 Vanilla1/2 Teaspoon
 Nuts1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 2 Egg Whites, stiffly beaten

Directions

Cream together shortening and sugar; add egg yolks and mashed banana.
Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt and add alternately with sour cream and vanilla.
Add nuts.
Fold in stiffly-beaten egg whites last.
Pour into greased 9" x 13" pan.
Bake in slow oven, 325 degrees, for 45 minutes.
Cut into squares while warm and roll in powdered sugar.
