Banana Whole Bran Muffins Recipe

Ingredients
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup whole bran
1 beaten egg
1 cup mashed ripe banana
1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons salad oil or melted shortening
Directions
Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Stir in bran.
Combine egg, banana, milk, and salad oil or melted shortening.
Add liquid ingredients all at once to dry ingredients, stirring just till flour mixture is moistened.
Fill well-greased muffin pans 2/3 full.
Bake muffins in hot oven (400°) for about 20 to 25 minutes or till done.
