Banana Chocolate Cake Recipe
Ingredients
| Cake flour | 2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs), sifted | |
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Baking soda | 3⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Shortening | 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 37257 Cup (596112 tbs) | |
| Vanilla | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Eggs | 2 | |
| Unsweetened chocolate | 2 Ounce, melted | |
| Bananas | 1 Cup (16 tbs), mashed | |
| Buttermilk | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) |
Directions
Sift together first 4 ingredients.
Cream shortening, sugar, and vanilla together until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a lime, beating well after each addition.
Blend in chocolate.
Add dry ingredients alternately with bananas and milk, beating until well-blcnded.
Turn into greased layer pans and bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
Fill and frost cooled cakes with a butter frosting.
