Banana Chips Recipe
Banana chips are called Kaaya Upperi in Malyalam, official language of the state of Kerala from where the chips originate. The chips are served as a part of meal for Onam festival.They are placed on the left side corner of the Plaintain Leaf along with other dishes(Meals are traditionally served on the plantain leaf in Kerala). Banana Chips are easy to make and relished by adults and kids alike.

Ingredients
| Frying Oil | 2 Cup (16 tbs) (For frying) | |
| Large unripe Plantains- 2 medium | ||
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Remove the skin of the plantains.
Cut into halves.
Slice the banana using a chip slicer.
Take oil in a frying pan.
Heat the oil to boiling hot, add the sliced plantains to it.
Fry until crisp.
Tossing over to fry the other side.
Fry until it is crunchy and fully cooked.
Sprinkle with salt and serve.

I am a huge fan of banana chips...but had to pick a packet off the shelf every time i craved for these to munch on.Now i can make these chips at home...thanks for the recipe.
