Banana Bars Recipe
Ingredients
| Whole wheat pastry flour | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 cup unbleached white flour | ||
| Baking soda | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Baking powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Egg white | 1 | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vanilla | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1/4 cup unsalted margarine, melted | ||
| Bananas | 2 Medium, mashed | |
| 1/3 cup plain lowfat yogurt | ||
Directions
Sift flours, baking soda and baking powder.
Set aside.
Beat egg, egg white and sugar for 2 minutes.
Add bananas and melted margarine.
Stir in flour mixture alternately with yogurt.
Pour into a lightly greased 11" x 7" pan.
Bake at 350° for 22 to 25 minutes or until done.
