Baking Powder-Ham Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
Flour – 2 cups, sifted
Baking Powder – 3 teaspoon
Salt – 1 teaspoon
Shortening – ¼ cup
Milk – 7/8 teaspoon
Ham – 2/3 cup, chopped and cooked
Directions
MAKING
1) In a bowl, sift the flour and baking powder and salt
2) Using a knife, cut the shortening into the flour mixture and mix in to resemble a coarse mixture
3) Add the milk and ham and blend well
4) Turn onto a lightly floured board and knead for about 5-6 times
5) Roll out the mixture to ½ to ¾ inch thickness and cut into 2 inch biscuit cutter
6) Place on greased cookie sheet
7) Bake at 400F for 12 to 15 minutes
SERVING
8) Serve warm
