Directions

Thoroughly blend flours, baking powder, and salt.
Add shortening, and mix until texture resembles coarse meal.
Add milk, and stir only until blended.
Remove from bowl to a lightly floured board, kneading two to three times or until dough is just pliable.
Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness, and cut with a biscuit cutter.
Dip the top of the biscuits in the oil from well oiled baking sheet, and turn biscuits over.
Place in rows with biscuits just touching each other.
Bake in a 400° F. oven for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
