Directions

Heat oven to 450 degrees.
Have ready ungreased cookie sheet.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together into a bowl.
Add shortening and cut in finely.
Stir in enough of the milk with a fork to make a soft dough that is easy to handle.
Turn out on floured board.
Knead gently about 6 times.
Roll 1/2 inch thick.
Cut into 2-inch rounds and put on cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden.
Keep hot.
