1/2 c. grated cheese
Add cheese to sifted flour mixture in the basic recipe.
2. Orange Biscuits
Dip sugar cubes into orange juice, then press into top of each biscuit.
3. Marmalade Biscuits
Spoon 1 tsp. orange marmalade on top of each biscuit. Bake at 375° F. for 25 to 35 minutes.
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
Mix above ingredients together until crumbly. Spoon 1 T. over each biscuit before baking.
400°. 10-15 minutes.
Roll 1/4" thick rectangle€”spread on a mixture of 5 T. butter and 2/3 c. brown sugar.
Roll up like jelly roll, cut 3/4" thick€”place in buttered muffin rings.
6. Drop Biscuits
Use basic recipe but add enough liquid to make a stiff drop batter. Drop by small spoonfuls on greased pan. Bake, serve hot.
7. Snowballs 350°.
40 minutes. Yield: 4 servings.
a. Make biscuit dough using half the recipe.
b. Roll to 1/8" thickness and cut into four squares.
c. Pare and core 4 small apples. Fill center with brown sugar.
e. Place apples on dough and sprinkle with cinnamon.
f. Bring corners of dough up around the apple and pinch together at top. Seal edges.
g. Bake on a greased cake pan for 40 minutes. Serve with whipped cream.
