Easy Baking Powder Biscuits Recipe
Thanks to my neighbor for sharing this excellent Baking Powder Biscuits recipe. It is a great Breakfast. You don't need to think more. Just prepare this Baking Powder Biscuits now!
Ingredients
2 cups regular all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup shortening
3/4 cup milk Flour
Directions
Sift flour, measure, and sift again with the baking powder and salt.
Cut in shortening with a pastry blender or two knives until the mixture has the texture of cornmeal.
Add milk and stir lightly with a fork, just until the dough holds together well.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured board, sprinkle lightly with flour, and gently fold a few times, just until the surface is no longer sticky.
Roll or pat dough 3/4 inch thick and cut with a floured cutter.
Arrange biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet, touching if you want them to have soft sides or apart for crusty sides.
Bake on the center rack of a 450° oven for 12 to 15 minutes, until lightly browned and still slightly moist when broken apart.
