Baking Powder Biscuits Recipe
Baking Powder Biscuits has a lovely taste. Baking Powder Biscuits gets its desired taste from milk mixed with flour and flavored shortening.
Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup shortening
2/3 cup milk
Directions
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Add milk, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead lightly 4 or 5 times.
Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness; cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter.
Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
Bake at 425° for 12 minutes or until lightly browned
