Delicious Baked Ziti With Ground Turkey Recipe Video
So I had my daughters High School Softball Team over for dinner before the game. They ended up winning, maybe I should cook for them more often! A reason good enough to cook more of Baked Ziti with ground turkey.

Ingredients
3 – 16 oz. box whole wheat pasta
2 medium yellow onions, diced
3 pounds ground turkey
6 – 24 oz. bottles of tomato sauce
1 cup parmesan cheese
1 – 12 oz. package of shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
olive oil
salt & pepper to taste
Directions
Pre-Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Add olive oil to large pot. Cook onions till translucent. Add ground turkey and brown. Place colander in sink and drain ground turkey. Return turkey and onion mixture to large pot.
Add bottles of tomato sauce and mix well, cook at low heat for 20-25 minutes.
Make pasta as per box directions, (under cook by approximately 5 minutes), the pasta will have additional cooking time in oven. Pour tomato and turkey sauce over pasta, mix well.
Lay out serving trays on counter and distribute mixture evenly into trays. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake additional 15 minutes till cheese melts. Remove from oven and let stand 10-15 minutes.
Place a portion on plate and serve with a salad and low fat dressing.
Makes 12-14 servings (party time)!
