Baked Yogurt Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

 
1 2 1/2- to 3-pound frying chicken, cut up Salt and pepper to taste
 
6 tablespoons butter or margarine
 
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
 
1 tablespoon paprika
 
2 8-ounce containers plain yogurt
 
1/4 pound fresh mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
 
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
 
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill or parsley

Directions

Preheat oven to 325°.
Season chicken with salt and pepper.
Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in large skillet; saute chicken until golden brown and place in buttered baking dish.
Sprinkle flour and paprika into skillet; cook, stirring, 1 minute.
Stir in yogurt; mix well.
Pour over chicken.
Saute mushrooms in remaining butterand lemon juice 1 minute; spoon over chicken.
Sprinkle with dill.
Bake, covered, 1 hour or until tender.
