Baked Vegetables Recipe

This recipe for baked vegetables is a simple nd easy recipe for preparing vegetables to go wit your meal. Baked in the microwave and served with white sauce, the baked vegetables makes a simple lunch or dinner with soft bread rolls or flavored rice.

Ingredients

 
30 gms. plain flour
 
30 gms. salted butter
 
500 ml. lukewarm milk
 
Salt to taste
 
1 tsp. crushed pepper
 
A pinch of mustard powder (optional)
 
100 gms. potatoesl cut into 1 cm pieces)
 
100 gms. carrotslcut into 1 cm pieces)
 
100 gms. shelled peas
 
100 gms. french beanslcut into 1 cm pieces)
 
100 gms. cauliflower floretslcut into 1 cm pieces)
 
100 gms. processed cheese! grated)
 
50 gms. butter ( melted)
 
4 bread slices
 
30 gms. melted butter! extra)

Directions

To boil the vegetables Place the vegetables, in a 1 litre dish, sprinkle with a little water and microwave covered on 'AUTO COOK' after increasing the quantity to 500 gms.
Allow to stand covered with an aluminum foil/lid for 10 minutes.
To make the white sauce Heat butter, in a 1 litre dish, on 100% power for 40 seconds.
Add the flour, mix and microwave on 100%power for 2:30 minutes.
Stir 2-3 times during cooking.
Pour in the milk, in a stream and stir constantly, to avoid lumps.
Microwave on 100% power for 7:00 minutes.
Stir 2-3 times during cooking.
Mix in the salt, pepper, and mustard powder.
