4 medium sized firm ripe tomatoes, cut in halves
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 slices pumpernickel, crumbled
4 teaspoons melted butter
2 oz. Danish blue cheese, crumbled
Directions
Put the tomato halves, cut side up, in a buttered shallow baking dish.
Sprinkle with a mixture of salt, sugar, and pepper.
Toss bread crumbs with melted butter.
Mix in cheese.
Spoon an equal amount onto each tomato half.
Bake at 350°F 15 minutes.
